update for sbbs, what i am wanting to know right now is for tickit what is better to us?
Dir=
or
Path=
I use Dir= because then files will be imported into your filebase. Path= will place those files into the path given but they will not be imported.
witch one will be better to use on a win system i have more ? but i will ask them once i get this part done and going.
Ticket (and BinkIT) will work with any system you run your BBS on, windows, linux, *BSD, or even the Pi.
I like that.
Looking for someone that is running it and what they think Basicly Pro's and Cones thanks.
I have been running it for a short time. The Pro's are that it is simple and effective. For a leaf node it works wonderfully.
The Cons (as I see it) are that there is no remote Filefix for nodes to connect or disconnect their areas so you need to do that your self.
Files that I send to my points in othernets are from my fido address. That has not been a problem for me since those points are my own, simply for testing. In the grand scheme of things that could be a problem for hub nodes.
If we asked Deuce we could probably get tickit to send from a different aka with a keyword in tickit.ini possibly. Writing a filefix though, is no small task.. but it might be worth asking about.
Ttyl :-),
